Morecambe Town Council
Morecambe Town Council was formed in May 2009 following a successful local campaign. It holds a budget of over £200k to deliver it’s priorities.
The main priorities of Morecambe Town Council are to:
- Improving the environment and appearance of the town including litter and dog fouling issues
- Improving the economy of the town including tourism and festivals
- Community Safety
- Community Engagement which should include being a strong voice for the town
The Council has 26 elected members, each elected for a term of four years. For election purposes the town is divided into 11 wards. Town councillors are elected every four years at the same time as district councillors.
The current Labour Party councillors are:
