LGBT+ Officer for Morecambe and Lunesdale CLP

If you are an LGBT+ Labour member in the Morecambe and Lunesdale constituency and looking to get more involved in the work of the local CLP, then we need an LGBT+ Officer on our Exec team. It’s an important role and one we’d love to be able to fill during LGBT+ History month.

Morecambe has a long and varied history with the LGBT+ Community, The Campaign for Homosexual Equality (CHE) held its first national conference on the now demolished Central Pier in Morecambe back in 1973.

The LGBT+ Officer is the local representative of LGBT+ members within the CLP, and works to ensure that LGBT+ members are fully involved in the work of the local party, as well as taking a leading role in making sure that the campaigning work of the
constituency reaches out and engages with LGBT+ voters.

This is a great resource on how to be an effective LBGT+ Officer

If you are interested, please contact us or come along to the next CLP monthly meeting
