Amina Lone is the Labour Party candidate in the next general election which will take place on May 7th 2015. The general election gives all voters the chance to choose their Member of Parliament, and therefore which political party will form the government.

On May 7th 2015 voters will also get the chance in Morecambe and Lunesdale to choose councillors to represent them on Lancaster City Council.

There are currently 21 Labour councillors serving on Lancaster City Council, which covers the parliamentary constituencies of Morecambe and Lunesdale, and Lancaster and Fleetwood.
