Volunteers Brave The Cold Weather

With January behind us it has been a cold start to 2015 but our volunteers have braved the weather across the constituency.

I'ts been a fantastic but icy start to the year and our campaign is quickly building momentum. With plenty of activity happening each week we have been increasingly active, speaking to hundreds of residents. For me there is nothing better than being out in the community, speaking to people on the doorstep about the issues and concerns that most affect them.

On Wednesday the 21st we were proud to be joined by Barnsley MP Dan Jarvis for some mid-week doorknocking. Dan stopped off in Morecambe as part of his Labour Doorstep Marathon, visiting 9 regions in 9 days. Joined by the team and myself, Dan helped us speak to plenty of residents in Harbour Ward and despite the cold weather it was a great session and great to see so many people happy to see us.

Dan Jarvis MP, the team and myself out in Harbour Ward.

The team and myself have loved speaking to so many people and hearing about many of the issues that are on people's minds as we approach the election. With less than 100 days until polling day it has been fantastic to see so many of you out volunteering already and I look forward to seeing even more of you in the coming weeks.
