Saturday 31st of January saw Labour Party activists across the country take part in National Campaign Day.
Here in Morecambe and Lunesdale we had a fantastic day of campaigning activity where we were delighted to be joined by Hyndburn MP Graham Jones.
As we settle into a regular campaigning schedule, the team and myself were excited for a busy day of activity on National Campaign Day. With less than 100 days until the election it was fantastic to see so many of you out with us across the constituency supporting the party in its biggest day of campaigning so far in 2015.
With plenty of new faces joining us we were able to have several teams out in Heysham and Skerton speaking to hundreds of people on the doorstep.
For the morning session we welcomed Hyndburn MP Graham Jones where we were really pleased to support his Passenger Power campaign tour. This is a nationwide campaign to put communities and passengers in control of their local bus services, giving them the power to protect crucial bus routes across their constituencies. This is an issue that hass affected many people in Morecambe and Lunesdale under this tory-led government.
Our very own youth team were able to speak to Graham about their current campaign Make Fares Fair in which they want the issue of adult bus fares for those moving into further education and cuts to certain services to be addressed.
We are running a variety of events every week and would love to see even more of you out campaigning to make sure we secure a Labour victory in May. If you would like to get involved or find out any information on upcoming events then please contact the team or myself at firstname.lastname@example.org.
